This brooch was made to emulate the beautiful tones of the rising sun against rippling clouds. 

In making the brooch, I heated the 22ct gold in varying degrees along its length in order to create a subtle gradation in tones in the finish. The brooch displays the colours of the sunrise, from warm peach to deep gold.
